Terms of use

Last updated November 4, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Lamb House Publishing, the maker of iScenes. By making an account or using the app, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and plain.

Your account

You need an email address to sign in. Keep access to that email safe, since anyone who can open it can sign in to your account. You must be at least 13 to use iScenes, and if you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian needs to agree to these terms for you.

Your writing stays yours

You own everything you write and upload. We don't claim any rights to it. You give us permission only to store it, copy it between your devices and show it back to you, because that's how the app works. Please only upload pictures and text you have the right to use.

Plans and payment

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel any time from File, then Account and plan, then Manage or cancel my plan. Your paid plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and then your account goes back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted when that happens.

If you're not happy, write to [email protected] within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it. After that, payments aren't refunded for partly used periods, except where the law says otherwise.

Fair use

Please don't use iScenes to break the law, to store anything that infringes someone else's rights, to attack or overload the service, or to try to get into other people's accounts. We may close an account that does these things. If we do, we'll tell you why when we can, and give you a chance to export your work.

Our name and design

iScenes™, the iScenes logo, the app's design, text and code belong to Lamb House Publishing. You may not copy them or make a product that pretends to be iScenes.

Keep your own copies

We work hard to keep your writing safe, but no service is perfect. Export a backup of the books that matter to you now and then, from File, then Export.

The service as it is

We provide iScenes as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We may change features, add new ones or remove old ones. If we ever shut iScenes down, we'll give at least 60 days' notice so you can export your work, and refund any unused part of a yearly plan.

To the extent the law allows, Lamb House Publishing isn't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost work. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.

Ending this agreement

You can stop using iScenes and delete your account at any time from File, then Account and plan. These terms end when your account is deleted.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and of Canada. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your local laws give you.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and email account holders before the change takes effect. Questions go to [email protected].
