iScenes is made by Lamb House Publishing, a small business in Canada. This page explains what we keep about you, why we keep it, and how to have it removed. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected].
What we keep
- Your email address. We use it to sign you in and to reach you about your account. We don't send newsletters unless you ask for them.
- Your writing. The books, cards, scenes, story bible entries, pictures and templates you save. They are stored so you can open them on any device.
- Your plan. Whether you are on the free or paid plan, when it renews, and the customer number our payment provider gives you.
- Basic technical records. Our hosting providers keep short-lived logs, such as IP addresses and the time of a request, to keep the site running and safe from abuse.
We never see or store your card number. Payments go straight to Stripe.
Your writing is yours
We don't read your cards, sell them, share them, or use them to train AI. We only look at your account if you ask us to help with a problem, or if the law requires it.
Who helps us run iScenes
We use a few trusted companies. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.
- Supabase stores your account and your writing, on servers in the United States.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and delivers it to your browser.
- Stripe handles payments and sales tax. Stripe acts as the seller of record for paid plans, so it also keeps your billing details under its own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts provides some of the lettering on our pages, so your browser asks Google for those font files.
Because these servers are outside Canada, your information may be stored and handled in the United States and other countries, under their laws.
Cookies and storage
iScenes keeps your sign-in and a few settings, like your table color, in your browser's storage so you don't have to sign in every time. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking tools, and we don't sell information about you.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and writing for as long as you have an account. If you stop paying, nothing is deleted, and you can still open your work and save a full iScenes backup of it. When you delete your account, your account and writing are removed right away. Copies in our providers' backups are cleared within about 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as tax and financial laws require.
Your choices
- See or take your work. Save a full iScenes backup of any book at any time, on any plan. Paid plans can also export to PDF, Word and other formats.
- Fix your details. Write to us to change the email on your account.
- Delete everything. In the app, open File, then Account and plan, then Delete my account. Or write to us and we'll do it for you.
- Ask questions or complain. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the privacy regulator where you live. In Canada, that's the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Children
iScenes is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep information about them. If you think a child has made an account, write to us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and let account holders know by email before the change takes effect.
